Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: a)Wonderview Farms #1, On or about 1/10/02: Employees were riding the load block to gain access to the Derrickman's working platform. Among other methods, several feasible and acceptable methods to correct these hazards are to: 1.Utilize the fixed ladder while using a ladder climbing device. 2.Follow the requirements of API 54, Section 6.11, 1999. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
