Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of: Section 5 (a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the following condition(s): New Orleans Visitor Welcome Center, New Orleans, La- The employer, Construction South exposed their employees to a collapse of formwork which resulted in both struck by and fall hazards by not instructing its employer representative to not deviate from erection blueprints without express approval from a qualified person. One feasible and accepted method of abatement to correct this hazard is to assure strict compliance with instructions contained within the erection drawings as expressed by Patent Scaffolding Company's engineers.
