Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm: (a) Winne Water Tank #2: Employee(s) working inside the tank were overexposed to the hazard of incurring damage to their central nervous system from the inhalation of 2- butanone, n-butyl alcohol, hexone, ethyl benzene, and xylene as a mixture. Chemical mixtures that act upon the same organ system have a hazardous additive effect.
