Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: GUARDING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard: a)Copper building, Economy upstroke baler; for employee(s) who load and unload the baler from the front and back of the machine, an emergency stop button was not located on the back of the baler for immediate emergency use. One method of abatement to correct this apparent hazard is to install an emergency stop button on the back of the baler for immediate emergency use. DISCLAIMER: 1.
