Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: CRUSHING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: (a) Concur E; Seat belts and anchorages were not installed and/or utilized on the Ford-PSA #6968 vehicle, the Ford-PSA #0147 vehicle, the Clark forklift, and the Giliberti baggage cart. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement means to correct this hazard is to install and use safety belts, with proper anchorages on all motor vehicles that operate within an off-highway jobsite, not open to public traffic.
