Minn. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees; specifically: On January 4, 2001, an employee was allowed to work and ride on the elevated work platform of a forklift truck without using a safety platform, exposing the employee to a fall hazard. Abatement Guidelines: 1.Innovex Inc. shall train all employees who have the opportunity to use a forklift to elevate people on the correct safety platforms available and the proper way to use them. 2.Innovex Inc. shall develop a policy to enforce the use of these proper safety platforms. Documentation shall be kept on any needed enforcement of the policy.ment
