Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards which were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, employees were exposed to fall hazards while working from an elevated work platform, while performing framing activities. a) At 4541 Tierra Alta, Castle Rock, CO Employees were exposed to injuries while using a forklift and a job-made platform to perform framing activities, employees were exposed to an 18 foot fall. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazardous condition would be to use a personal platform built in accordance with ANSI B56.1-1975. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").-Certification
