Section 5(a)(1): of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: (a)On April 24, 2000, at a work site located at 1901 East Moreland Boulevard, Wisconsin, an employee working on an extensible boom aerial lift (self propelled) working on the face of the building, was exposed to the hazard of falls due to the lack of personal fall arrest equipment. Among feasible abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A92.5-1992 Standard for boom-supported Elevating Platform and have employees wear fall arrest equipment whenever they are in an aerial lift. No certification required. Violation Abated.on
