North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility; weave room maintenance - monorail system with 1/2 ton budgit hoist has not been load tested. b)facility; warping - monorail system with 1 ton Jet hoist has not been load tested. c)facility; weave room - six monorail systems with 1/4 ton Chester hoists have not been load tested. REFERENCE: ANSI/ASME B30.11-1998; Paragraph 11-2.2.2 Load test (a) New, reinstalled,altered, repaired, and modified equipment should be load tested prior to initial use... NOTE: One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to have the monorail systems load tested.
