Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: On or about May 19,2000 employee was using a Rigid 300 electric pipe threading machine which was not provided with a constant pressure foot threader control switch as required by American National Standards Institute B208.1-1982, section 4.4. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement is: Provide the pipe threading machine with a constant foot pedal control switch in accordance with ANSI B208.1-1982, section 4.4. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
