Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that an aerial lift was operated without its outriggers being used: On or about 02/07/00 an International cherry picker truck was operated without outriggers being used. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to use the outriggers on the truck as required by the operator's manual. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
