North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)jobsite - employees exposed to the collapse of 65ft long metal plate connected wood trusses that were not temporarily braced in accordance with the industry accepted recommendations developed by the Truss Plate Institue which resulted in the hospitalization of two employees. A reasonable means of abatement would be to erect the metal plate wood trusses with temporary bracing as recommended in the Truss Plate Institute's publication HIB-91 and the Summary Sheet furnished by the truss manufacturer or to have hired a professional engineer to have designed the temporary bracing.y
