North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to: 1)Employer McPherson Farms failed to provide to each of his employees a place of employment wherein employees were not exposed to live electrical parts. At the temporary labor camp workers were exposed daily to live electrical parts in the bedroom as an outlet plate was not installed. One acceptable and reasonable method of abatement is to repair electrical system in the house and install outlet plate in sleeping area as discussed.
