Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a FALL HAZARD: a)On or about 06/13/01, an employee was observed working from a self- propelled Elevating Work Platform (ADMAR scissors lift) at a height of approximately 20 feet. The employee was standing on the top hand rail of the lift performing roof installation: Among other methods, several feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard are to: 1.Ensure personnel maintain a firm footing on the platform floor while working from the platform. 2.Instruct all personnel operating and supervising work in an aerial platform in the compliance procedures of ANSI A92.6-1990,Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms.,Self-Propelled
