Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being thrown from a powered industrial truck: (A)Building #3: On or about June 22, 1999 and at times prior thereto, employees operating the Hyster 60, #16 were not required to wear seat belts. Feasible abatement: Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use of safety belts when vehicle is in motion. Note: Abatement certification required for this item.
