North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)facility; warehouse room #2 - the caddy, which is the below the hook lifting device for the old crane, has not received initial, frequent, or periodic inspection b)facility; warehouse room #2 - the wire mesh sling, which is the below the hook lifing device for the dixie crane, has not received initial, frequent, or periodic inspection. c)facility; band saw room #1 - the walker magnet, which is the below the hook lifting device for the saw crane, has not received initial, frequent, or periodic inspection. Reference: ANSI B30.20 - 1985; paragraph 20-1.3.1 (a) Initial inspection - prior to use, all lifting devices shall be inspected as per paragraph (b) on a frequent and periodic basis. NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to conduct initial, frequent, and periodic inspections of all the below the hook lifting devices.
