Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognizable hazards that were causing or likely to cause serious physical harm to employees, in that, an employee was exposed to a crushing hazard from paving vehicles: (a) The Alley at 2319 33rd Street, S.E.: During a paving operation, an employee fell or was thrown off of the rear bumper of a truck and was subsequentially run over by the backing vehicle.
