Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: UNAPEQUIP
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Eddystone Generating station - Employees were exposed to high pressure water (6000 psi) while performing C train wash. A NLB 250 water lance was extremely modified in that the side handle was missing, dump valve was another manufactures, the length of the water lance was shorten, and the pump was run in the warm up mode by passing the low water level switch. NOTE: ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED.
