Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards of being hit/crushed from falling loads: a.Line 1 - Employees were exposed to being hit/crushed by the hoist systems and/or load due to a hoist failure. The hoists were not inspected on a frequent or periodic basis. b.Line 1 - The capacities for custom made lifting devices located along Line 1 were unknown, there were no markings, and load tests had not been performed.
