29 CFR 1926.651(h)(1): Employees were working in excavations in which there was accumulated water, or excavations in which water was accumulating, and adequate precautions had not been taken to protect employees against the hazards posed by water accumulation. a) Intersection of Norwood Lane and Chief Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966: On or about 08/14/2025, employees were exposed to crushing hazards when they performed force main bypass installation in an excavation where water was allowed to accumulate without any precautions in place to prevent the soil from falling into the excavation (soil had water flowing through it making it unstable).
