29 CFR 1910.269(q)(3)(xii): The employer shall ensure that, before employees elevate the boom of an aerial lift, the employees ground the body of the truck or barricade the body of the truck and treat it as energized. On or about July 31, 2025, employees of Swisher Electric Cooperative, Inc., at or near Valley View Substation, 503 FM 2284, Plainview TX 79072, were engaged in replacing damaged cut-out switches without adequately grounding or barricading their work truck.
