Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees On or about July 27, 2025, employees working at the building located at 3726 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, MO were exposed to the hazard of struck-by injuries created by working around a building with a visibly displaced exterior fa�ade on the northeast corner of the building, which hazard was recognized and reported to the landlord to be assessed and repaired. Employees accessed the northeast corner of the building to enter and exit the building. On July 27, 2025, after Family Dollar had notified the landlord about the displaced fa�ade and requested abatement of the condition, a portion of the roof on the northeast corner of the building collapsed. AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHODS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Keeping employees out of the area of the visibly displaced exterior fa�ade until the landlord completes its evaluation and repairs if necessary.
