1910.176(g) Covers and/or guardrails were not provided to protect personnel: a) 40 WEST PARK AVENUE SELLERSVILLE, PA 18960, Large dip tank area, line 2, - On or about July 18, 2025, an employee was working on a catwalk adjacent to dip tanks containing corrosives, such as Sodium Hydroxide and Hydrochloric Acid, where the sides of the dip tanks were no more than 21" above the catwalk, exposing the employee to chemical burns, drowning, and/or fall hazards. The employer did not provide fall protection for the tanks as required. b) 40 WEST PARK AVENUE SELLERSVILLE, PA 18960, small dip tank area in rear of building , line 5 & 7, - On or about July 18, 2025, an employee was working on a catwalk adjacent to dip tanks containing corrosives, such as Nitric Acid and Hydrochloric Acid, and nickel/zinc from 7th line behind employee, where the sides of the dip tanks were no more than 21" above the catwalk, exposing the employee to chemical burns, drowning, and/or fall hazards. The employer did not provide fall protection for the tanks as required.
