29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). At the El Paso 2- Brandywine Project # 24-005 (Northeast of the Construction Site): On or about June 16, 2025, employees were working inside an excavation without an adequate protective systems in place while conducting excavation activities. ZTEX Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1) , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1791171, citation number 1, item number 1 (a) and citation 1, item number 1 (b) and was affirmed as a final order on February 05, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at Socorro Logistics Project, El Paso, TX 79835.
