Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazard of exploding sandblasting pot: (a) At Dunagin Trucking, Inc. Maintenance Shop, sandblasting pot did not meet specifications and/or provisions of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard use only containers, under air pressure, that conform to sandards of the code for unfired pressure vessels, Section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for construction tests and maintenance.
