29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. (a) United Parcel Service of America Inc., dba UPS, did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This condition was observed on or about March 21, 2025, at the location at 331 Bishop Road, Highland Heights, OH 44143 in which employees were exposed to unsafe working conditions in that walking-working surfaces around Belt 2 were not kept free of boxes and packages creating trip hazards. (b) United Parcel Service of America Inc., dba UPS, did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This condition was observed on or about April 8, 2025, at the location at 331 Bishop Road, Highland Heights, OH 44143 in which employees were exposed to unsafe working conditions in that walking-working surfaces around Belt 3 were not kept free of boxes and packages creating trip hazards. (c) United Parcel Service of America Inc., dba UPS, did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This condition was observed on or about April 8, 2025, at the location at 331 Bishop Road, Highland Heights, OH 44143 in which employees were exposed to unsafe working conditions in that walking-working surfaces around Belt 5 were not kept free of boxes and packages creating trip hazards. (d) United Parcel Service of America Inc., dba UPS, did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This condition was observed on or about April 8, 2025, at the location at 331 Bishop Road, Highland Heights, OH 44143 in which employees were exposed to unsafe working conditions in that walking-working surfaces around Belt 7 were not kept free of boxes and packages creating trip hazards. The United Parcel Service of America Inc, dba UPS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (name previously cited standard), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1767063, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12-11-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 400 W 69th St., Loveland, CO 80538.
