Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.132(f)(2):Each affected employee shall demonstrate an understanding of the training specified in paragraph (f)(1) of this section, and the ability to use PPE properly, before being allowed to perform work requiring the use of PPE. On or about February 07, 2025, the employer did not ensure mixing operator(s) demonstrated an understanding of training on when appropriate PPE such as chemical safety googles and full-face shield, chemical resistant gloves, full rubber acid suit, and rubber boots needs to be worn while removing a ball valve connected to an ingredient line that contained a corrosive hazardous material such as sulfuric acid located in the rear of Mixer #2.
