29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: (a) Long Bend Drive Lot #37 Carlisle, PA - On or about February 5, 2025, employees utilized an aluminum extension ladder that was not positioned to extend at least 3 feet above the landing where employees were accessing and egressing from the second story. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 11 feet to grade. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
