Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm, including severe burns and blunt force trauma, to employees in that employees were exposed to explosion hazards: a) In the facility: On or about January 22, 2025, employees operating and working in close proximity to Press Furnace 2A/2B were exposed to an explosion hazard when heated water was not able to drain from the open cooling system causing pressure to build in the enclosed buckstay column. Demolish and remove Furnace 2A / 2B on or before September 12, 2025, is added as a fourth recommendation to the ?among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct these hazards include but is not limited to? section of the violation.
