29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles. At a structure under construction located at Lots 1430 and 1432 SW Winthrop Terrace, Lee's Summit, MO, employees were exposed to struck by hazards to their face and eyes. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to utilize a pneumatic nail gun without the use of eye protection while performing roofing work. M&A Roofing KC LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1542911, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/13/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 5423 N Platte Purchase Dr, Kansas City, MO 64151.
