29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Special hand tools for placing and removing material(s) was not provided to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone: On or about December 18, 2024, and times prior thereto, in the meat department: a. In the meat department: an employee was operating a Biro 3334 Series Power Meat Saw without using the End Cut Pusher Plate guard tool to protect the operator. b. In the meat department: an employee operating a Biro 3334 Series Power Meat Saw without adjusting the Guard Bar to protect the operator. LMMM Dallas #43, LTD was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1740796, citation number 01, item number, 001, and was affirmed as a final order on January 17, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at 5106 Wesley Street, Greenville, TX, 75402.
