Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards associated with inadequately maintained racking systems: a) 4 Brown LLC 1771 Tomlinson Rd, Philadelphia: On or about November 21, 2024, employees operated powered industrial trucks to load material from a damaged steel racking system with unbolted anchors and a bent column footing. The racking system was used to store tires stored on pallets exposing employees working near the damage racking system to crushing hazards from racking collapse and struck-by hazards from falling objects.
