29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice. a) Warehouse Loading Dock: On or about November 5, 2024, employees were exposed to struck-against hazards while loading and unloading trailers near protruding chain guards ("knuckles") that extended approximately 3.5-inches beyond the loading deck and interior trailer wall. CVS Pharmacy Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.22(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1698337, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2-14-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 150 Industrial Highway, North Smithfield, RI 02896.
