29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Points of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employees from having any part of their body in the danger zone during operating cycle: a) Cimpl's, LLC at 1000 Cattle Drive, Yankton, SD 57078: On or about at times prior to October 11, 2024, the employer did not ensure employees operating the Hollymatic Defender 4000 meat saw were protected from amputation hazards in that the distal portion of the saw blade, on the opposite side of the operator, was not adequately guarded. On October 11, 2024, an employee suffered amputation of the tips of their left index finger and ring finger, when operating the Hollymatic Defender 4000 meat saw after contacting the distal portion of the saw blade.
