29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, a personal fall arrest system, or an alternative fall protection measure as provided by another provision in paragraph (b) of this section: Each employee conducting framing work on a residential structure, with unprotected sides and edges, is not protected from falling by wearing a personal fall arrest system. The employer does not require the use of any form of fall protection during framing work. This violation was most recently observed on February 08, 2024 at 816 Cherry Elm Drive, Saint Augustine Florida, where three employees were not protected from fall hazards of 10 and 20 feet to the ground. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that it's employees performing framing work are protected from falls, and that no employee is allowed to work at or above six feet high without adequate fall protection.
