Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to an amputation hazard: a) Press Area - foot pedal that activated a Chicago Dreis and rump mechancial Press Brake Model number DSP - 7006 ws not guarded. Observed 4/22/92 Note: One feasible method of abatement would be to install guard over each four pedal to prevent unintended activation of Press brake. Observed 4/22/92
