29 CFR 1926.501(b)(7)(ii):Each employee at the edge of a well, pit, shaft, or similar excavation 6 feet (1.8 m) or more in depth was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, fences, barricades, or covers: At the jobsite located 2 miles east of Meade, Kansas on the southside of Hwy 54, employees working refueling the generator and priming the water pump were exposed to a fall hazard into adjacent inadequately protected water pits greater than six feet in depth.
