Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.23(b)(10): Laddershaving defectswere notmarked andtaken outof serviceuntil repaired: On or about August 19, 2024, employees performing air conditioner repairs at 2879 South 168th Street, Omaha, Nebraska, were exposed to fall hazards in that they used a damaged ladder to access an air conditioner unit that was on the roof of a building with an eave height of 14 feet 6 inches. The 20-foot ladder was one part of a two-piece extension ladder that had been separated and since it was the top half, it did not have anti slip feet on the bottom of the legs. The ladder also had a crack in its leg.
