29 CFR 1910.151(b): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available: a. On or about August 16, 2024, during delivery driver routes, when medical facility for treatment of injured employees was not available in near proximity, the employer did not have a person, or persons trained to understand and render first aid treatment or ensure other medical treatment was available/utilized for all injured employees. United Parcel Service Inc. was previously cited for a violation of 1910.151(b) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1694715, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 15, 2024, with respect to a workplace located in the McKinney, Texas and Farmersville, Texas area.
