29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means On or about August 14, 2024, an employee engaged in fiber pulling and installation activities at a worksite located in 14502 E 920th Rd in Lawrence Kansas 66049 was exposed to electrical hazards in that proper control measures were not taken to ensure the employee did not contact an overhead energized powerline. Specifically, power lines were not deenergized or isolated from inadvertent contact during the scope of work being performed.
