29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a: Employees installing roofing materials at elevations of six-foot or more above the ground are not being protected by a fall protection system: The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on July 30, 2024, when two employees installing roofing materials on a 5:12 steep pitched roof of a residence located at 2382 Mission Oak Place in Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043, were exposed to the hazard of an 8-foot fall, in that they were not wearing personal fall arrest systems that would have prevented or restrained them from falling from the roof.
