Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: On or about July 18, 2024, the employer did not ensure that machine specific procedures were utilized to control hazardous energies on the Press #43 during maintenance operations. Employees were performing maintenance at the time of inspection without utilizing the procedures in place. Hazardous energies present on the equipment include but are not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical. At the time of inspection the pneumatic energy source was not isolated to prevent unexpected release of its hazardous energy.
