29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1):The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: Chemical Dip Room: On or about July 19, 2024 and prior to, the employee who wore a mandatory use half face respirator to protect against chemical vapors was not medically evaluated before performing tasks such as (but not limited to) chemical stripping of metal parts. Gybenorth Industries LLC dba American Dry Stripping & Powder Coating was previously cited for a violation of 1910.134(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1460055, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on April 6, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 80 Wampus Lane Suite 13, MILFORD, CT 06460.
