29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system: (a) On or about July 18, 2024, at 1774 Tenth Street North, Fargo, North Dakota, employees were exposed to fall hazards of over 18 feet while removing roofing materials from a flat roof without the use of a fall protection system. Note: This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1496640, Citation 1, Item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 26, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at or near 212 Third Avenue NE in Jamestown, North Dakota. Note: This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1683354, Citation 1, Item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 11, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at or near 255 Dakota Street in Kindred, North Dakota.
