Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: (a) On July 9, 2024, and times prior, at 200 Knutson St, Mapleton, ND, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while working in close proximity to industrial storage racks that were not secured or anchored against toppling. Note: Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard include but are not limited to: 1. Follow the recommendations of ANSI MH 16.1 - Specification for the Design, Testing and Utilization of Industrial Steel Storage Racks, Sections 1.4 - Integrity of Rack Installations 2. Follow the Interlake Mecalux product manufacturer's support guide under the Anchor section.
