29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about June 27, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the Cleereman Drill Press was equipped with one or more methods of machine guarding to protect the operator from flying chips and sparks. b) On or about June 27, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the Wilter Strand Drill Press was equipped with one or more methods of machine guarding to protect the operator from flying chips and sparks. c) On or about June 27, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the Shop Press (a.k.a. "shaft and pinion press") was equipped with one or more methods of machine guarding to protect the operator from struck by hazards due to ejected workpieces or flying debris during operation.
