29 CFR 1960.8(a): The Agency head did not furnish employment and a place of employment to each employee that were free from recognized hazards that caused or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm: a) National Park Service, Bryce Canyon, 3000 Highway 63, Bryce, UT 84764: On or about 6/7/2024, and at times prior, the employer did not provide a place of employment free from recognized hazards in that employees were exposed to tripping and fall hazards while working in the Visitor Plaza area at night without sufficient lighting. An employee sustained fatal injuries when they tripped over a landscape wall and struck their head on a boulder.
