Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The employer did not ensure that the floor of each workroom is maintained in a clean and, to the extent feasible, in a dry condition. The employer did not ensure that when wet processes are used, drainage is be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats are provided. 865 Quaker Highway, Uxbridge, MA 01569: On or about May 13, 2024, and continuing after for multiple days, the employer did not ensure that the maintenance bay was kept free of water accumulation that created slip and fall hazards for employees who perform detail and maintenance activities on RV's/Campers. Although the Area Office held a conference with the employer prior to issuing this citation and the others now being issued in this inspection, the issuance of these citations does not represent the end of the inspection. The inspection is still open, due to the employer's failure to comply with the subpoenas that OSHA issued and served during the inspection. The Acting Secretary of Labor has filed a petition for subpoena enforcement in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, as part of which the Asking Secretary has asked that the statute of limitations for OSHA to issue citations be tolled.
