29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) CPRD Area: On or about May 9, 2024, the points of operation on the four Air-Mite Model #DAP7 presses were not adequately guarded, in that the top of the guard was fully open, allowing room to reach over the guard and into the point of operation. Zoll Medical Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.212 (a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1640483, Citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 31, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 525 Narragansett Park Drive Pawtucket, RI.
