29 CFR 1910.268(j)(3): Vehicle-mounted elevating and rotating work platforms shall not be operated with any conductive part of the equipment closer to exposed energized power lines than the clearances set forth in Table R-2 of this section. (a) On or about May 1, 2024, an employee operated the telescoping boom and basket for the Altec telecommunication truck (# 2193) moving the conductive basket into or closer than permitted to the overhead energized power lines which resulted in the fatal electrocution of one employee and the shock of another employee. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
